The grand opening was attended by distinguished guests, including Malaysia’s Science, Technology, and Innovation (MOSTI) Minister, YB Chang Lih Kang. During his keynote address, Minister Chang applauded Pixlr’s contribution to AI-driven innovation and Malaysia’s digital transformation. He noted that Pixlr’s new HQ signifies not only a leap forward for the design industry but also the creation of high-quality jobs, empowering Malaysians to thrive in the growing tech sector.

Evan Cheah, Executive Director of Sunway Group, also commended Pixlr’s new base, emphasizing its alignment with Sunway’s vision of fostering a tech-driven ecosystem encompassing diverse sectors like education, healthcare, and retail.

Pixlr’s CEO, Warren Leow, expressed his enthusiasm for the move to Sunway Geo, highlighting the location’s excellent infrastructure and access to talent as pivotal for Pixlr’s expansion. “This move is a natural step towards building a stronger presence in tech and creating world-class businesses together,” said Leow, who also serves on the National Digital Economy Council (MED4IRN).

Pixlr has made a profound impact through its community-driven programmes, including training 1,000 teachers under the Ministry of Education Malaysia and conducting AI training for MOSTI and youths.
