Following the phenomenal success of the Pixlr AI Academy Awards (PAAM) 2023, Pixlr continues to champion innovation and creativity with the highly anticipated PAAM 2024. This year, the competition is hosted on Digital Educational Learning Initiative Malaysia (DELIMa), the Ministry of Education Malaysia’s (MOE) e-learning platform, which serves over five million teachers and students nationwide. DELIMa’s accessibility underscores PAAM’s mission to reach every corner of Malaysia, making cutting-edge AI tools available to empower educators and learners alike.
A Platform for Digital Excellence
PAAM 2024 saw participation from more than 200 teachers and students, representing schools across Malaysia, with an impressive 4,500+ submissions received. The competition challenged students to create a social media poster themed “Jom Belajar AI,” complete with a creative caption to accompany their design. Winners were recognized in two categories: the Top 5 Posters, selected for creativity and design quality, and the Top 3 Posters, which garnered the highest number of likes.
For educators, the competition needed them to use their platform to showcase their expertise in AI tools. Teachers were tasked with producing tutorial videos demonstrating Pixlr’s AI capabilities, sharing them on social media platforms. The video with the highest number of likes was awarded the top prize, celebrating the teachers’ ability to inspire and educate.
Recognizing Digital Talent
The winners of PAAM 2024 were announced during the prestigious Majlis Anugerah Murid Fasih Digital 2024, organized by the Bahagian Sumber dan Teknologi Pendidikan (BSTP) under the Ministry of Education Malaysia. This event highlighted the importance of integrating AI into school curriculums to prepare students for the digital era.
